Natanne Nunes, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Hi! I’m Natanne, a pediatric speech-language pathologist and the founder of Nunes Speech Therapy. I hold both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University Maryland. I’ve had the joy of working with clients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. My pediatric experience spans a variety of settings, including outpatient hospital clinics, private practices, schools, homes, and even the NICU. I speak multiple languages, including: native English, native Portuguese, conversational Spanish, and intermediate French. I love working with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, and partnering with their families to build strong foundations in communication and feeding. I strive to care for the whole child by supporting not just their speech or feeding needs, but also nurturing their emotional well-being, relationships, individuality, and overall development. It brings me so much joy to see how their progress changes their lives! My approach to therapy is play-based, child-led, neurodiversity-affirming, and evidence-based. I’m passionate about serving families and meeting each child where they are, by recognizing their unique strengths, challenges, pace of development, and by tailoring care to fit their individual needs and abilities. I care deeply about supporting both children and their caregivers with empathy and compassion. I frequently teach strategies for home use, involve families in sessions, and share photos or videos to help parents feel confident supporting their child’s progress between sessions. I started my own practice to provide the kind of flexible, personalized care that many traditional settings can’t offer. By working in the child’s natural environments – home, school, or community – I can better support meaningful progress. I also value the extra time I get to connect with families, understand their routines, and offer guidance that fits seamlessly into their daily life. When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with friends and family, swimming, reading, building puzzles, or relaxing at the beach. I love traveling, especially to Brazil to visit my extended family every year. Families can expect me to be warm, supportive, and attentive. I’m a caring listener, an open communicator, and I’ll always make time to answer your questions and walk this journey with you. With experience across all areas of speech and language development—including articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, and early language milestones—I work closely with families to create personalized therapy plans that fit each child’s unique needs and strengths. My approach is warm, play-based, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I strive to make every session a safe, encouraging space where children can grow, explore, and thrive. Whether your child is just starting to speak or needs extra support to be clearly understood, I’m here to help them find joy in communication—and to support you every step of the way.
